Time Center Judges Award (Technical Innovation): Team 339, "Kilroy", Commonwealth Governor's High School, Stafford VA

The Judges are pleased to recognize a unique innovation in the design and operation of a robot component that impressed them today. The team number is divisible by three. Their robot is an offensive-oriented, point-scoring powerhouse, and their software-controlled, pneumatically actuated weight distribution system increased their traction and ability to score. Congratulations to Team 339, Kilroy VI from Stafford, VA.

Time Center Judges WOW Award: Team 2377, "C Company", Chesapeake High School, Pasadena, MD

The Judges are pleased to recognize a team that stood out as having their act together; a good robot, great teamwork, involved students and mentors and an attitude that exemplifies all the qualities of an outstanding team. They have been on a roll since their start-up, have won impressive awards as a rookie team, and would earn well above a "C" grade from any of the judges. The "WOW" award winner is Team 2377, "C" Company from Chesapeake HS in Pasadena, MD.

Mike Wade Quality Award: Team 1748, "Lab Rats", Dunbar and Patterson Highs Schools, Baltimore, MD
Celebrates form and function in an efficiently designed machine that effectively achieves the game challenge.

This award is dedicated to the memory of Mike Wade, a key person in the growth and expansion of FIRST Robotics in MD. His energy, enthusiasm and commitment set the stage for this event and many others like it, and this award continues his legacy for the future. His efforts resulted in the NASA field, the Alliance trailer and truck, and critical support and funding for local teams. To honor his energy and the importance he placed on a well-designed product, this award celebrates form and function in an efficiently designed machine that effectively and easily achieves the game challenge. It is an engineering award that emphasizes the marriage of science, technology and the competitive spirit into a machine whose design, engineering and construction demonstrates an effective, efficient and  straight-forward design and . Congratulations to Team 1748, the Lab Rats of Dunbar and Patterson High Schools in Baltimore City.

Gracious Professionalism Award: Team 1727, "Rex", Dulaney High School, Timonium, MD
Celebrates outstanding sportsmanship and gracious professionalism in the heat of competition, both on and off the playing field.

This award celebrates outstanding sportsmanship and gracious professionalism in the heat of competition, both on and off the playing field. In their interactions with the judges, it was clear that their excellent leadership placed an emphasis on this important quality. They stepped up early this morning to help a team without a control system participate in the event until their control system arrived. The Battle O Baltimore Gracious Professionalism award goes to Team 1727 REX from Dulaney HS in Timonium, MD.
